Description

Childrens European Heavyweight Gi

Description

For the serious practitioner, our childrens european heavyweight gi has traditional stitching that ensures an excellent snap in every technique. While the comfortable European style cut provides the wearer with a full length sleeve, and trouser leg without compromising on full freedom of movement.

The heavyweight Karate Gi is made from ‘brushed cotton’. Which gives silky type feel to the Gi against your skin. Much less harsh than the majority of Karate Gi on the market. Also because the canvas is good quality it bends easily not restricting your movement in anyway, but still is tough enough to provide a good ‘snap’ when kicking or punching.

Quality of the build is important when choosing a Karate Gi, because it will massively effect the longevity of the Karate suit. This European Cut Karate Gi is almost over engineered, with in some places, such as the bottom of the top and trousers, 7 rows of stitching.

Traditional drawstring waistband no belt included.

Have been using these for years and great quality fabric. They never rip. Only thing that could make them better is to get rid of the fiddly drawstring on the trousers, and go with an elasticated waist. All my students – adults and juniors – would thank you!

This and the equivalent Japanese cut are my two go to Gi and have been for the year that I’ve had them.

I love this Gi (and my Japanese one) and will definitely purchase another as the jacket sizing (mine is a size 7) is second to none – I’ve not experienced any shrinkage having washed it on Cold each time.

In an I deal world I could get a Japenses Jacket (the sleeves are the perfect length) with European trousers (and maybe with the word Master, which I certainly am not removed) but I really like my Heavyweight European cut Gi, it’s easy to turn up the sleeves and legs a little (I haven’t bothered to get it adjusted) and fits very well.

I’ll definitely get another when I’m next in the market.
